1. How to cancel
- Open My trips on the website or app (guests: use the booking reference and the mobile number or email used to book).
- Select the booking and tap Cancel. Choose the seats to cancel if the operator allows partial cancellation.
- We show the exact cancellation charge and refund amount. Confirm to cancel — you get a confirmation by SMS and email.
Tickets can be cancelled online until the bus’s scheduled departure from the first boarding point. After departure, or if you miss the bus, online cancellation isn’t possible — contact us and we’ll check with the operator, but a refund then depends entirely on the operator.
2. Cancellation charges
Every bus operator sets its own cancellation policy. It is shown on the bus before you book, on your e-ticket and in My trips. The charge is a percentage of the seat fare and depends on how many hours before departure you cancel.
Example of how a typical operator policy looks — the policy on your ticket is the one that applies:
| When you cancel | Cancellation charge | Refund of seat fare |
|---|---|---|
| More than 24 hours before departure | 10% | 90% |
| 12 to 24 hours before departure | 25% | 75% |
| 4 to 12 hours before departure | 50% | 50% |
| Less than 4 hours before departure | 100% | No refund |
Some operators don’t allow partial cancellation (cancelling only some seats of a booking) — we tell you before you book and before you cancel.
3. Fees and discounts
- The platform fee (and the GST on it) and any convenience or payment-processing charges are not refundable when you cancel.
- Offers and coupon discounts are not paid out — the refund is calculated on the amount you actually paid.
- If you cancel some seats of a booking, the charge applies only to the seats you cancel.
4. When you get a full refund
- The operator cancels the trip (service cancelled or bus not provided): full refund of the amount you paid, including fees. We start it automatically.
- Payment taken but no ticket issued: if the operator can’t confirm your seats after payment, the booking is marked failed and a full refund starts automatically — you don’t need to contact us.
- Charged twice for the same booking: the duplicate payment is refunded in full automatically.
5. When the refund reaches you
Refunds always go back to the payment method you used. We start the refund immediately after cancellation; how long the bank takes depends on the method:
| Payment method | Usually reaches you in |
|---|---|
| UPI and wallets | Instantly to 2 working days |
| Debit and credit cards | 5–7 working days |
| Net banking | 5–7 working days |
You can see the refund status and reference number in My trips. If it hasn’t arrived after 7 working days, contact us with your booking reference.
6. Date changes and delays
Tickets can’t be rescheduled. To travel on another date, cancel (the operator’s charges apply) and book again. Departure times, bus type, amenities, and boarding or dropping points are run by the operator; if the operator makes a significant change we tell you by SMS and email.
